Mission Club

We are all called by our baptism to be missionaries!  Mary, Queen of Peace’s Mission Club is open to 3rd - 7th graders interested in learning about and appreciating other cultures and celebrating the mission of Jesus Christ.  The Missionary Childhood Association’s motto is “Children Helping Children.”   We complete several projects during the year to help children in mission countries.  Our students promise to make a difference in the lives of others by offering prayers and love so that children in mission countries will know Jesus and experience His love through us.

American Girl Book Club

The MQP American Girl Book Club is open to third and fourth grade girls.  We meet once a month on a Monday from 3:15-4:00 for the months of February, March, and April.  This year we are studying the Girl of the Year for 2013--Saige.  Each meeting consists of arts and crafts, book discussion, visiting the AG website, viewing the corresponding movie, and enjoying snacks and drink together.  This year approximately 20 girls have joined.  Our last meeting culminates with a "Meet and Greet" whereby the book club members can bring in their favorite AG doll or AG item to share during a show and tell.

Drama Club

Are you a character?  If so, the MQPCS Drama Club is looking for you!  We are open to all students in sixth and seventh grade.  No experience is necessary - just the desire to have fun.  You'll go through the audition process, learn script reading, voice projection, and stage movement.  Students are involved in characterization, props, and even some script writing.  We produce one full length stage production each year.
