November 4, 2014 Webinar

Dear CRS Partner:

Last month, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops Office of Evangelization and Catechesis invited Dr. Carolyn Woo, CEO of Catholic Relief Services, to conduct a series of three webinars as part of its Leadership Institute for parish and diocesan catechetical leaders. The webinars connect the three pillars of the New Evangelization—worship, faith and witness—to Catholic Social Teaching.  She describes how service to the poor is integral to each of the three pillars and incarnates this social dimension of evangelization.  She also provides action ideas for your ministry. Here is a link to the page where all three webinars are now housed: http://www.usccb.org/beliefs-and-teachings/how-we-teach/catechesis/leadership-institute/leadership-institute-webinars-new-evangelization.cfm.

We hope that these resources will assist you in making the connection between our call to evangelization, the witness of Catholic Social Teaching, and our Church’s commitment to care for those in need around the world.

Joan Rosenhauer, Executive Vice President
U.S. Operations
