From the Pastor

Thanks for taking a few minutes to look around. In doing so, you will discover the “breadth and height and depth” of our parish family. When I describe MQP to visitors, I use words like ‘family,’ ‘hospitality,’ ‘unceasing prayer,’ ‘vitality,’ and ‘intentional disciples.’

At MQP, we are committed to fostering life-changing encounters with Jesus. That means we accompany parishioners, visitors, and friends along the way, praying they will encounter our Trinitarian God, experience conversion of heart, and become intentional disciples of Jesus. That means we worship with solemnity and joy. That means we encourage continuous prayer in church and out in the world. That means we love people with generosity, invitation, and compassion. That means we serve the poor and the outcast. That means God’s will is paramount, and parish life points always toward  Christ and flows from his heart.

Think of this website as a sacred space as you browse the many ministries and programs we offer. It will give you just a glimpse of who we are as a parish family. To get a fuller picture, we invite you to come in person so that we can connect with you, worship together around the Lord’s altar in the Holy Eucharist, and experience the “abundant life” that only Jesus can give.

My hope is that all people will feel welcome and loved at MQP. This is a place for doubters and disciples, for people with deep questions and deep convictions, for the humble and the hungry. All have a home here, for this is God’s house. And once here, I pray you will encounter Jesus, experience transformation, and be fired up to share the Good News with others! At Mary, Queen of Peace, the doors are wide open for you.
