Junior High Youth Ministry

  1. We will be trying something new this year. The junior high group will be meeting on Sunday evenings! The meeting will begin at 4:30pm and will be over at 5:45pm.  We will give the kids a snack at the end of the meeting. We will also be having a PEACEMAKERS mass at 6pm following our meetings. These meetings will be spiritually based on the level of 6th thru 8th graders and will also have a lot of fun activities to keep them interested!

  2. One Friday of the month we will have an event called Hang Time. This is a time for the kids to get together and just hang out and have fun in a safe Christian environment.  We will do things like play games, watch movies, even have Sock Hops!  This will be open to all 6th thru 8th graders and will be from 7pm till 9pm.

  3. We will have a lock in this year.  This will be a time for the kids to let loose and have fun, and also dive deeper into their Catholic faith.  The lock in will also be spiritually based with lots of fun things to do!

 

 

High School Youth Ministry

  1. We will begin to have monthly youth nights (formally known as Monday Meetings) in October and from then on one Sunday a month.  The meetings will be from 7pm till 8:30pm.  We will have a snack or sometimes even a meal at the end of the meeting. These meetings will provide the teens with a way to learn more about their Catholic faith in fun ways, and to also get to know other teens who want to be closer to Christ!  These meetings will be open to all 8th thru 12th graders.

  2. We have started a Leadership group with some of the teens that have been very involved in our parish for at least 2 years.  These meetings will be on Wednesday nights.  The purpose of this team is to help plan and facilitate events for the junior high group as well as retreats for the high school group.

  3. We have an AWESOME Praise and Worship prayer meeting and bible study called GLORIFY that meets every Monday night at 7:45pm in the church.  This is a great way to dive deeper in your faith!

  4. We will also continue to do service work for the parish and other areas that we are needed. And we will still be doing lots of fundraising for our group.

  5. Retreats will be an intricate part of our group with at least one retreat a year.  This will be offsite and will last from Friday evening till Sunday afternoon.
